MDO Partnerships with Faith-Based Orgs in the Community

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Learn how to develop, grow and sustain a micro enterprise program within the faith-based industry. It’s time for Micro Enterprise Development Organizations to move beyond their single purpose orientation and to view faith based institutions as potential partners, program sites and sources of funding. Faith based institutions also need to embrace their community footprints and add economic development as a part of their missions.

In this course you will learn how to:

⦁ Seek out relationships with local faith based organizations to become business training and technical assistance providers for their congregations

⦁ Develop partnerships with state and federal agencies that support business development

⦁ Identify funding opportunities through corporate and philanthropy

⦁ Create innovative funding streams for faith-based business financing
